Rule One

Usage of user-bots, macros, scripts, auto-typers, or anything else enabling automation of commands is not allowed. In addition, massive amounts of command/button spam are not allowed and will result in a bot ban. In addition, hanging out in a server with blatant rule 1 activity taking place can result in your account being banned. Don't join suspicious servers.

Rule Two

Using exploits or exploitative bugs is forbidden. Please report all bot exploits and bugs to staff on the Dank Memer Support Server so that we can fix it as soon as possible. Failing to report, sharing with other people, or withholding info on exploits/exploiters is ban worthy. Website exploit reports can refer to our disclosure page.

Rule Three

You should not lock the bot, or giveaways for the bot, behind paywalls. Practices such as Patreon roles, donor roles (with IRL money), and so forth are not allowed for giveaway requirements or role locks. The only exception is boosters; we will allow you to lock things behind being a booster for your server. Things like level locks using external bots are acceptable. When using leveling systems, granting bypasses or faster leveling with paywalls is not allowed.

Rule Four

We will not tolerate hate speech or bigotry of any kind while using Dank Memer. This includes using any of this inflammatory language within commands, or directed at another user during the course of gameplay (eg, at a user you just lost a fight to).

Rule Five

Using Dank Memer to advertise or promote anything will result in a punishment. This rule includes advertising other Discord apps/servers, or partnerships/pings. You may use our currency in our /serverevents system to reward your members for being members, but attaching advertisements to the giveaways is not allowed. Membership holders who can send giveaway messages in our /giveaway system may not advertise through that either.

Rule Six

Dank Memer's currency is not to be traded for real money, crypto, discord nitro/boosts, or other bot currencies. Buying anything with real money outside of our services will get you a ban. We do not support "gifting" memberships at this time, finding a way to do it outside any means we provide is not allowed due to the high likelyhood of scams. Also, paying someone in DMC to perform services (eg, make your server some art) is fine as long as it doesn't cross into advertising.

Rule Seven

Starting or spreading harmful rumors about the bot, causing unnecessary drama about the bot, or harassing staff members are all ban-worthy behaviors. his includes etiquette in reports and appeals, such as, but not limited to: false reports, time wasting reports.

Rule Eight

Through usage of Dank Memer, you accept Dank Memer's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Additionally, you accept Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines and any terms by third party services such as bot lists you are voting on (no voting on alts!), these of which are enforceable through Dank Memer.

Rule Nine

Using the bot in any form of scamming other people is strictly forbidden. This rule includes but is not limited to: Using the friend system for trading with strangers, inviting people to your enable robbed server under false pretenses. Examples of situations that are NOT scamming: Over/under pricing things on the market, buying ALL of something on the market and selling them again at a higher price for higher margins, or inviting someone to your rob-enabled server and NOT lying about rob being disabled. Loans are NOT covered under scam protections, do NOT loan if you want to avoid being scammed.

Rule Ten

You may not use the following to inflate your server member count for access to the server pool or server events: alternate accounts, accounts/membership bought with any type of currency (real or otherwise), accounts joining under a “join4join” pretense. Using a server pool as a “holder” is discouraged, but not solely ban worthy. Stealing or “raiding” from a server pool is paramount to scamming and will be moderated once reported.

Rule Eleven

Any chargeback results in an immediate and unquestionable ban, along with any form of payment fraud. This is including, but not limited to, using a parent's card without permission. Gem gifting in exchange for bot currency is allowed, but discouraged due to the high chance of being scammed. We will not issue refunds for gem gift scams, but we will be quick to issue permanent bans and in RARE cases, giving you the gems that you paid for assuming the scammer didn't use them.

Rule Twelve

Begging other players for handouts, loans, gems is a drain on the community at large and is strictly not allowed. If you need advice on making money “easily” without begging, visit DMC and hang out in #grind-strategy. Within any Dank Memer adjacent space, such as discord servers or reddit, treating other players poorly will result in punishment based on the discretion of the bot admin team. A little “trash talk” is to be expected, but being toxic isn't something we welcome to our community.
